Tarnished Gold–Cover Post!

Hey y’all! So here it is. The final cover in the Landry series. At long, long last we get to look upon the face of that fabled SWAMP fairy, Gabrielle Landry. Maybe we’ll get to see young Pierre too! Young Grandmere Catherine! Young Grandpere! Young Octavious Tate, glowering in the background! Maybe–

Is it just me or is she wearing a lot of foundation?

Or maybe we’ll just see a pregnant Gabrielle looking mournful in front of a bunch of creepy-ass dolls. Wow. This is…boring. Really really boring. No group shot? Nothing? Just cobwebs and dolls and a sad-looking girl. Booooooooooooooooooring.

Also, I just checked Ruby, and Gabrielle’s supposed to have red hair too. BOOOO.

Sorry about that, guys. That was hardly worth the wait. I’ll just have to be double-quick on the first recap then, eh?

See you shortly!

But that one doll is all upside down — cah-razy!!

      I can’t handle this wackiness!

I strongly approve of your use of Gabrielle rather than the stupid and continuity defying GABRIEL. I think Neiderman was on crack when he mapped out the plot for this book. If he actually wrote Ruby as well, why in hell did he change all the details of Catherine’s original story? Blah.

    1. Megan says:

Yeah, this one is just terrible in terms of continuity. And there’s not even a reason for it! It’s not like NO ONE knew Gabrielle or like she was this terrible person who needed her life edited for content. Blah!

*tilts head*… Y’know, I think she’s also the cover model for Melody in the Logan series.

And the continuity for this book wasn’t even that hard to check up on. But then Neiderman also changed “Gabrielle” to “Gabriel”, so.

    1. Megan says:

YES! I totally think she’s the model for Melody too! I was going to mention that, but then I didn’t have a handy image of the Melody cover to put up as a comparison. Great minds!
